Dana, the newest member of our team, is a Level II Dental Assistant who completed two work terms at our office while she was enrolled in her program at Keyin College in St. John's, NL. After she graduated in December 2005, Dana continued to work with us as a part-time staff member. She successfully passed her national board exam in June 2006 and became a full-time member of the team in October 2006.

Dana was born in Calgary but moved to Grand Falls-Windsor when she was only three years old. She was quite involved in Sea Cadets for six years throughout school and was one of only three candidates in Canada selected for an exchange trip to Japan. "It was a really great experience!" she readily acknowledges. Perhaps her involvement in Sea Cadets, was formative to the dedication and personal discipline she displays on the job.

She plans to complete her Orthodontic module from the University of Alberta in 2007. Dana enjoys all aspects of dentistry and we all smile because she is often smaller in stature than some of our younger patients. We feel that just proves that wonderful things (and people) come in small packages!
